Com·pet·i·tive: Having a strong desire to compete or to succeed.

The biggest cause in destroying dreams is our own self-sabotaging thoughts. In society today, someone's competitive fire could be compared to a lion and the power of its roar. When a lion is protecting its territory or food, it uses its body language and roars to fend away any unwanted visitors. The way we move our body and the language we use has a powerful effect on our feelings and emotions. By energizing our body movements and using a powerful tone with our words, we can shift our mental states to more empowering ones. Competition is truly one of the most powerful human forces. As leader, teammate, or individual, it is important to consider how you can use competitive fire to create the results that you want. Here are three things to get your competitive mindset exploring its boundaries.

1.) Be Visionary - Know what you want to accomplish in your life. Be specific. Know what steps it will take to get you there and most importantly, voice your vision.

2.) Be Committed - Are you really committed toward achieving what you truly want in your life? Have a "do whatever it takes" mentality. If you are not committed, you will give up when the path gets rough.

3.) Be Passionate- Be aware of your true attitude. Passion should come easy if it is truly something that you want.

Everyone is competitive; however, the awareness of your vision coupled with your passion and commitment to that vision will drive your intensity. Be BOLD.
